Michelle Guille
Michelle is a highly skilled and confident dental assistant at Apex Prosthodontics in
Apex, NC. Born and raised in Apex, she understands the community she serves and brings a
strong sense of professionalism, efficiency, and compassion to every patient visit.
After completing her dental assisting training at NC Dental U in 2021, Michelle began
her career in general dentistry before advancing into prosthodontics and implant
dentistry - where she thrives.
Known for her calm, steady presence and exceptional organizational skills, Michelle
ensures that each appointment runs smoothly and that patients feel supported throughout
their restorative or prosthodontic care. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish,
helping Spanish-speaking patients feel welcome, informed, and at ease.
Outside the practice, Michelle enjoys spending time with her young daughter, especially
when they’re shopping for all things Minnie Mouse, and taking advantage of everything
Apex, NC, has to offer.
Gidget Kang
Gidget is a Pittsboro native, a passionate Tar Heels fan, and one of the most
experienced team members at Apex Prosthodontics. With over 30 years of experience in
dentistry, she capped her clinical career as the Dental Implant Research Coordinator at
the UNC School of Dentistry - a role she retired from before joining our practice.
Her background at UNC brings a level of depth and expertise rarely found in private
practice administration. Gidget combines her extensive knowledge in implant and
prosthodontic research with her natural ability to guide patients, making her an
essential part of the treatment journey. Whether she’s coordinating care, explaining
next steps, or helping patients feel understood, her clarity and compassion make a
lasting impact.
Her colleagues describe her as organized, intuitive, and exceptionally dedicated -
someone who elevates the entire practice with her experience and wisdom.
Gidget lives locally with her husband and embraces life with enthusiasm. She loves
skiing, traveling, and discovering new restaurants - she’s a proud, discerning foodie
who’s always searching for her next favorite meal.
Jeanne Pendergrass
Jeanne is an experienced dental hygienist at Apex Prosthodontics in Apex, NC, dedicated
to providing exceptional preventive care and supporting patients throughout their
long-term oral health journey. Originally from Greenville, NC, she completed her dental
hygiene education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been
committed to patient-centered care ever since.
With extensive experience in periodontal therapy, implant maintenance, and patient
education, Jeanne brings a high level of clinical skill to every visit. She is known for
her gentle approach and her ability to make even the most complex hygiene visits feel
comfortable and reassuring. Jeanne’s philosophy of care centers on building long-term
relationships and empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to maintain
healthy smiles at home.
Jeanne now lives in Cary with her family. She stays active in her community by
volunteering at her grandson’s school and takes joy in caring for her four-generation
family. When she has the chance, she loves spending time outdoors—especially walking,
gardening, and appreciating the natural beauty of the Triangle area.
Kathryn McKinney
Kathryn is a dedicated and highly trained dental assistant at Apex Prosthodontics in
Apex, NC. Originally from Clayton, she began her dental education at NC Dental U and
continued her training at Sunrise Dental Assisting School, where she further
strengthened her clinical and patient-care skills.
Her background includes experience as a sterilization technician and chairside assistant
in oral surgery before transitioning into prosthodontics and implant dentistry. This
diverse foundation allows Kathryn to provide thorough, confident, and compassionate
support to both patients and the clinical team. Known for her reliability and excellent
attention to detail, she helps ensure every appointment runs smoothly and every patient
feels cared for.
Outside the office, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her husband, exploring new local
coffee shops, and relaxing with a good book. She also loves running - a passion that
began when she competed on her high school cross-country team - and brings that same
discipline and drive to her work in dentistry.
